Carolyn A. Reining

January 15, 1931 - April 17, 2011

 

Carolyn A. Reining, 80, of Janesville passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her home. She was welcomed to heaven by her parents, her siblings and her daughter. Carolyn was born January 15, 1931 in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Munson) Suchanek. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1949. She married Arthur Reining on January 31, 1969. Over the course of her life, she enjoyed fishing, farming, painting and remodeling. Carolyn was an avid gardener, cat lover and a truly great friend to everyone she met. She participated in Little Theater and had been a Girl Scout leader. She participated in SHARE and enjoyed philanthropic pursuits. Carolyn loved decorating her home for all holidays, especially Halloween. She loved good food, music, dancing and Huber beer. A Packer shareholder, she was passionate about football and loved to listen to Uke call the Brewer games. Above all else, Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family.

Romans 8: 38: and I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t, and the demons can’t. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can’t keep God’s love away.

39: Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Surviving are her husband, Arthur Reining, 3 children, Harry “Hal” (Karen) Van Tuyl, Pam (Brad) Casper, Peggy (Chris) Crosby all of Janesville, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a nephew, Gary Suchanek. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Sara Waldhart, 2 brothers, Lyle Suchanek and Norm Suchanek.

A memorial gathering and service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 at City of Hope Church, 1214 Joliet St, Janesville with Pastor Dale Berlin presiding.

Private graveside services and burial will be Wednesday in Rock Church Cemetery, rural Livingston, WI. The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www. henkeclarson.com
